About
I was born, raised, and went to school in North Dakota. As with many people, I have a deep affinity for the place I grew up, a place whose beauty I try to show others through my photography. Since graduation, however, I have journeyed westward toward the coast, to Seattle.
Though I’ve maintained at least a passing facing in photography since junior high, it wasn’t until I talked the art professor at JC into letting me use the darkroom—without ever having taken a photography class—that I realized just how much I love it. Then my world was rocked in the fall of 2005 when I bought my first digital camera.
The main purpose of this blog is to discuss art and its creation — be it mine or others’. My being a photographer will, perhaps, bias my writing toward that end of the media spectrum, though not necessarily; good art knows no medium. In the end, it is my hope that some of my blathering may prove useful or even interesting.

A couple of notes about the site:
- You’ll see at the bottom of the sidebar that there is a box filled with my photos. By clicking on any of them, you will be taken to Imagekind (a print-on-demand service I am trying) where you can buy prints. If the image you want isn’t there, feel free to contact me.
- In the future, I may do product write-ups. In association with Amazon, I will provide a link for that particular product in said post. By clicking on the link from this website, you will be helping to support the upkeep of this site for which I thank you.
