I hear you! I only recently found full-time employment and a job really cuts into my creative (and blogging) time. I'm on the verge of doing something I probably shouldn't, though: I really want to buy a medium-format camera and use it for B&W (developing myself of course). The camera end of this plan isn't too bad (easily under $400 for a complete Mamiya RB67 kit), but that means I would have to buy all the sundry articles required for developing film (again, shouldn't be too expensive) plus a medium-format film scanner (ouch!).

For film I have the Nikon 80 and the 4004s(really old, but works beautifully :). In the past year or so i've switched to digital. So, I recently got the Nikon d80. It's a pretty sweet camera, but it doesn't get as much usage as it deserves.

Hey Megan, thanks for reading through my book of a post! I enjoyed my time at JC, but I understand the need of finding a good fit. I'm glad JU is working out for you. My digital camera is a Canon 10D and my film camera is an EOS 3 — though, admittedly, it doesn't get as much use as I'd like. How about you?

Hello. I just came across your site via Google. I too went to Jamestown College (but only for a year). I'm at a liberal arts school, in the midst of painting.. eek! I can totally relate to this post. Thank you so much for putting it up! What kind of camera do you use?
